Okay, so email....it's supposed to be instant right? You type your message and poof off it goes. The little window says 'You're email has been sent' and you think all is right with the world (ok, within reason!)

But no, it turns out that, like the toaster dial and shower dial (well according to Eddie Izzard anyway) IT LIES!!!

Your carefully composed words of wisdom haven't been 'sent' as it so merrily informs you, no they are sitting in some virtual dumpbin while bloomin' Tiscali ponders whether or not to send them!

So, if anyone is waiting on email from me, please just do the old fashioned thing and give me a call, or leave me a comment, I'm not being ignorant, (well, unless you are my brother or my boss) but I just don't know if what I've sent you has actually gone!

PS.... I've spent the last few days skimming and bookmarking fic from giles_watchers. How did I not know about this little gem before?  All that Gilesy goodness just sitting waiting to be enjoyed.....yum!

 Okay, so I've never done the whole drabble thing before. Never really saw the point to be honest, I like quantity as well as quality in my fic! However, I was pondering late last night, as you do, and thought I'd have a go at some snapshot moment, so here goes! It's really hard writing to a word limit, but also sort of liberating!

There's nothing like a new hairdo to lift your spirits! 

I've had a day of two halves.
It started bad as I had to call my boss and update her on my progress. Now, I get that it's really inconvenient for her covering my work but I can't help that, and it's not as if I've never had to do the same for other people in the past. God knows I would much rather be at work than climbing the walls at home so I'm disappointed that she's soooooooo unsupportive. GGGRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!

However, the day was saved by a trip to the hairdresser. I've put it off for weeks but finally forced myself to go tonight and it was soooooooooo worth the effort. I've had about a foot chopped off and it's all sleek and sexy. I'm so pleased and it'll be so much quicker and easier for me to do. And let's face it, any energy I can conserve at the moment is a big credit in the old energy bank!

I had hoped to finish the second part of 'Home is in your Arms' tonight, but I'm completely drained by my excursion so it'll have to wait another day I think.  I'm really enjoying writing it though - it's such a welcome distraction at the moment and a whole lot of fun!

Well, it's about time too! I've been reading so many journals for such a long time that it seemed about time that I started my own!

Why.... well that's easy. I'm BORED! I'm currently off work sick and going out of my tiny mind!! I think that armies should stop using their usual torture techniques and subject prisoners to 6 weeks of daytime TV - made by the devil I tell you! I've been reading a lot of fic and following summer_of_gilesso thought it was worth very belatedly getting on the bandwagon while easing my terminal boredom.
